Consultation
Consultation and a Multidisciplinary Approach
What is a Multidisciplinary Approach?
A multidisciplinary approach involves collaboration with key people involved in our clients’ care — including:
- Parents and caregivers
- Teachers and educators
- Occupational therapists (OTs)
- Psychologists and behavioural therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Paediatricians or other medical professionals
- Support workers or key workers
Working as a team helps ensure that everyone is on the same page, therapy is consistent across settings, and the individual’s support is coordinated and effective.
Consultation Services We Offer
We can consult directly with families and other professionals to support:
- Understanding an individuals communication profile
- Developing joint goals across services
- Sharing strategies that promote consistency (e.g., visual supports, AAC use, routines)
- Supporting transitions (e.g., to school or new environments)
- Case conferencing and report sharing (e.g., for NDIS reviews or team planning)
- Educator coaching and classroom observations
Why It Matters
When we work together, our client receives more than just therapy — they receive a network of support. Collaboration strengthens progress, promotes generalisation of skills, and creates a shared understanding of how to help them succeed across all areas of their life.
Let’s Work as a Team
Whether you’re an educator, therapist, support worker, or parent — we welcome open communication and shared goals. If you’re interested in a collaborative consultation or would like to involve us in a multidisciplinary team, reach out to see how we can support.
